IELTS
The IELTS test can be taken at 19 locations across Canada including : Conestoga College,
Simon Fraser University, University of Ottawa, University of Winnipeg and IDP test Centers. IELTS
(International English Language Testing System) is jointly managed by University of Cambridge ESOL
Examinations (Cambridge ESOL), British Council and IDP:IELTS Australia.
IELTS language assessment covers the four language skills - listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Some selectors feel that the IELTS gives the clearest picture of an applicant's English language proficiency.
IELTS is recognized by universities, employers, professional bodies, immigration authorities and other government agencies in many countries, including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and the USA.
Toronto IELTS Test locations are: Chinese Cultural Centre (5183 Sheppard Ave E, Scarborough) Thursday Testing Only; EC Toronto (124 Eglinton Avenue West, Suite 400; Humber College, 205 Humber College Boulevard, Etobicoke; Toronto International College, 3550 Victoria Park Avenue, 4th Floor; Kent School, 980 Dufferin St, 3rd Floor and Wales College, 4002 Sheppard Avenue East, Suite 518, Scarborough.
IELTS training evening classes
The 2-week courses will focus on one skill per class and include the exam. The course will be offered Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and will include 3 hours of tutoring each for listening, reading, writing and speaking.
